I have been developing the Likki Licked universe for nearly ten years. What began as a solo experiment in voice and world-building became a long-term study of how physical books shape perception. The design of each volume meticulously guides how readers move through the text. The humor lands because the format stays serious. This interplay between expectation and disruption is central to my work.

Likki Licked also emerged from my experience inside institutions where authority was unevenly distributed. The series became a place to exaggerate those systems until their structure became visible. Through Dr. Likita, I was able to explore confidence, desire, expertise, and chaos in ways that were not available to me in real settings. Over time, the project shifted from rebellion to inquiry. It became a tool that allowed me to examine belief, power, and identity from a different angle.

This work connects directly to my broader research interests. Like Symbiosis, it relies on the emotional effect of designed objects. Like Joe Is Dead, it uses institutional structures to examine how meaning is constructed. Like For Promotional Use Only, it builds a complete world through print, language, and interaction. The Likki Licked series continues to evolve as a study in material intelligence, perception, and the identities we create when we allow fiction to behave as if it is real.
